The VOX AC30HW2 is a hand-wired guitar amp combo using turret board circuits for a vintage VOX tone. The VOX AC30HW2 Hand Wired relies on the painstaking technique of turret board hand-wiring – a method requiring a high level of skill and craftsmanship – to create its fantastic, authentic VOX tone. The AC30 Handwired features two channels – a Normal channel and a Top Boost channel. The Normal channel features a single volume control with a bright switch, while the Top Boost channel adds a 2-band EQ and a Hot/Cool switch to choose between the Top Boost channel and a bypass for a more direct valve tone. The Master section features a Tone Cut and a Volume control, as well as a bypass switch to use the amp as an original handwired amp, which meant having to play at high volumes to achieve a higher gain sound. The AC30HW2’s tone is completed by a pair of Celestion G12M Greenback speakers and the 30 watt output power can be cut down to 15 watts to further enable all tones to be used at lower volumes.
